The countryside around Norwich is quite nice. Walks or cycle rides along Marriotts Way are a good start.

Places of interest

  • The Castle Museum - only £1 for the hour before closing time and between 12-1 during term times.
  • Go down to the Cathedral and then walk along the river to Cow Tower
  • Walk along the cobbled Elm Hill for a feel of old Norwich.
  • See a play or get a drink at theNorwich Playhouse
  • For a slighly alternative cinema venue go to Cinema City
  • For vegetarian fare, try Pulse Cafe/Bar

Things to get

  • Go 4 Less Cards Over 60, under 17, or on benefits of any kind? Get a Go 4 Less card. It entitles you to all sort of discounts in Norwich. Take a passport sized photo to the tourist information office in the Forum and fill in the application form. It's completely free.
